The European Congress for Photosynthesis Research is organized every four years by ISPR (International Society of Photosynthesis Research). This year it took place in Padua, Italy and it was attended by our colleagues Garab, Dlouhý, Böde, Vrábl and Pleva – all participants presented their research through poster presentations.
Before the congress itself, there was also a two-day section for young researchers, which was attended by colleagues Dlouhý and Böde – also with a poster presentation.
For most of the participants, this was the largest conference attended so far, where it was possible to meet important scientists from the field of photosynthesis research, who can be, with a little exaggeration, considered as celebrities – for example Roberta Croce, Herbert van Amerongen, Jaume Flexas and others, and with a number of these scientists we had the opportunity to discuss our research as well.
