The EJTEMM conference, which took place this year on 12-14 June in Debrecen, Hungary, was attended by our colleagues Ondřej Dlouhý, Kinga Böde and Győző Garab, all of whom contributed to the conference program with their presentations in the “Non-lamellar lipid phases” section.
The conference was also attended by other colleagues from abroad – Prof. Judith Peters, Dr. Dominique Bicout and Dr. Bence Fehér, with whom we are currently collaborating on some topics and we appreciated the opportunity to meet them personally and consult these topics.
Although it is a smaller conference, with the participation of tens to hundred people, the programme was quite rich in important scientists from the field of membrane/lipid systems research, with whom we had the honor to discuss our research, for example Prof. John Seddon from Imperial College London, Prof. Edward Gasanoff from the Chinese Kaiwen Academy, or Prof. Douglas Kell of the University of Liverpool.
We are happy that our research is gaining more and more attention and is being accepted by an increasingly wider community of scientists, who are also interested in contributing their experience and knowledge to the further development of this field.
