The state final exams (SZZ), including the defense of the final theses of Biophysics students in the regular June term, are shortly behind us, and we are pleased to state that with 100% success rate!
Bc. Daniel Duda, 17. 6. 2024, he successfully defended his diploma thesis entitled “Influence of photoacclimation of higher plants on non-photochemical quenching of chlorophyll fluorescence, photoprotection and photoinactivation of photosystems” under the supervision of Dr. Václav Karlický, he also successfully passed the oral part of the SZZ and can therefore be proud of his fresh Master’s degree.
Sára Petříková successfully defended her bachelor’s thesis entitled “The importance of phenolic substances for the resistance of the photosynthetic apparatus to the action of high temperature stress” under the supervision of Dr. Jakub Nezval, also successfully passed the SZZ and was awarded the title of Bachelor.
Another graduate of the Department of Physics – Alice Ondovčáková studied the combined Physics-Biology program, but she chose and successfully defended her bachelor’s thesis at the Department of Biophysics entitled “Protein Quantification Using Absorption Spectrophotometry” under the supervision of Dr. Irena Kurasová. And she was also awarded a bachelor’s degree after successfully passing the oral SZZ.
In the photos, you may also see Marián Skalka, who studied the Mathematics study program with the specialization M mai (Mathematics major with a focus on education) and F min (Physics minor) in the combination of Ma-FyBcV. He also successfully defended his bachelor’s thesis on the topic “Application of differential calculus” under the supervision of Dr. Ondřej Kolouch and now, after successfully completing both SZZ, he was awarded a bachelor’s degree.
