Expertise:
Study of physiological and biochemical responses of plants to abiotic stress, especially to suboptimal temperature and light conditions; the importance of phenolic compounds (primarily flavonoids, anthocyanins and hydroxycinnamic acids) in protecting plants from oxidative stress; the role of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the response to environmental conditions; analysis of the production and spatial distribution of phenolic compounds and ROS in plant tissues.
Methods:
Light microscopy, fluorescence microscopy, confocal laser scanning microscopy, histochemical methods for the detection of phenolic compounds and ROS
